Alva’s Air Wing NCC Flight – B has increased its strength to 125 cadets affiliated to 6 Kar Air Squadron NCC, Mangalore.NCC training this year started from June 2017

Classes Conducted:


  • Total of 90 Periods of classes conducted for 1st-year cadets.
  • Total of 105 & 110 periods of classes conducted for 2nd& 3rd-year cadets.

The classes were conducted on Saturday/Sunday as per the prescribed syllabus framed by National Cadet Corps.

CDT DHANIK Para Jumping Course 2017-18 2nd Year ME, AIET

Camp Details:


    • Total of 65 cadets attended Combined Annual Training Camp, conducted at Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology campus, Mijar from 27th July to 05th Aug 2017.

    • The 05 cadets of ADC had attended Aero Modelling Camp, at Belgaum from 13th Aug to 24th Aug 2017.
    • The 18 cadets attended Vayu Sainik Camp – 1, only 03 Cadets have succeeded to All India Vayu Sainik Camp at Jodhpur, Rajasthan from 23rd Oct to 03rd Nov 2017. The following cadets reached AIVSC are:

    a) LFC Kumudh Kuttappa M J

    b) Cdt Apoorva

    c) Cdt Sohan Poojary

    • One cadet took part in Para Basic Course at Agra, Delhi from 01st Nov to 22nd Nov 2018.
    • CDT Dhanik, from 2nd year ME, AIET, a cadet of Air Wing NCC has taken part in “Basic Para Jumping Course” at Agra, Delhi from 01st Nov 2017 to 22nd Nov 2017. After the basic training, he was taken on AN-32 aircraft and made two jumps from 1500 ft.

    • The 05 cadets started RDC Training from PRE IGC – 1 camp, LFC Sayyed Salmath from ADC reached PRE RDC – 3 at Bangalore from 19th Dec to 28th Dec 2017. One cadet from AIET, Cdt Uday Kumar Succeeded to Republic Day 2018.
    • Cdt Uday Kumar has been selected for the SSB Screening Camp Conducted at OTA, Kamptee, Nagpur from 09th April to 20th April 2018.
    • Total of 09 Cadets taking part in Shooting Championship Camp conducted at Bangalore from 02nd May to 11th May 2018.


    Social Activities in the year 2017-18:


    • Cleanliness Drive: With the motto of Swach Bharat, Our cadet along with ANO conducted a swatch drive in the Mijar area on 26th Sep 2017. Total of 40 cadets took part in cleaning the Mijar under Swach Bharath Abhiyan. Cadets and ANO had taken the initiative to clean the area stretch up to 4 Kms.
    • Life-Saving Skills: Basic lifesaving skills should be learned & practiced by all the youths of our nation, and should apply these skills when needed. With this thought, a Basic Life Saving Skill workshop was conducted by Saviors Group, Mangalore at AIET, Mijar on 30th Aug 2017 in association with NSS. Total of 35 cadets took part in this workshop. The cadets learned about the basic skill need to be imparted for treating the person found unconscious.
    • Nukkad Natak: Cleaning is not a one day work, it continues the process. With this thought, our cadets performed a Nukkad Natak under Swachta Pakwad on 09th Dec 2017. The program was to bring awareness among the public toward the common practice of cleanliness. Total of 50 cadets took part. Cadets had performed a skit at various places of Mijar region, to make public understand the importance of cleanliness, afforestation & hygiene.
    • Krishi Siri: A program for the farmers & for the public called Krishi Siri was conducted by Arannya Foundation at Ganjimat on 03rd Feb 2018. Total of 55 including SD/SW cadets took part. The cadets had interacted with various farmers and understood the different farming methods. They also got the fair idea about the various types of machinery used in farming. Cadets also helped in the registration of participants & smooth conduct of the event.
    • Mangalore Udyoga Mela: With to provide employment to the youth of region, District Commissioner office, Mangalore had conducted a Mega Job drive called Mangalore Udyoga Mela on 17th Feb 2018. This program was assisted by Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri. Our 50 cadets actively took part in this drive. The cadets were associated with the company HRs to understand the interview process and helped them in the smooth conduction of interviews.
    • Talk on Kargil War 1999: A talk was organized by D K Ex-Servicemen Association, Mangalore, Nitte Education Trust, Lions Club International on 19th April 2017. The talk was delivered by General Ved Prakash Malik (Retd.), the man who commanded more than 1.2 Million military soldiers and led Kargil war to success. Our 40 cadets took the opportunity to interact with Gen. The whole talk depicted the entire arena of Kargil war, the problems in front of Indian government & Military to take back the areas captured by Pakistani soldiers. It was a breathtaking moment to listen to his speech & felt proud of Officers & soldiers who made it to recapture the area by sacrificing their lives for our better tomorrow.
    • Alva’s Kannada Exam: Total of 60 cadets took part in Alva’s Kannada exam duty conducted on 25th Feb 2018 for the smooth flow of exam. Cadets helped the kids the in preparing the documents in proper order and streamlined them to proper exam rooms.


    Other Activities:


    • All the cadets (ONE TO ONE) had interview/ interaction with Commanding Officer of 6 KarAir Sqn NCC from 05th Feb onwards.
    • Total of 90 Cadets has been installed with PM Modi aap & BHIM aap.
    • Range Firing was conducted on 22nd Mar 2018, the total of 85 cadets get to study WT & firing.
    • Special Range Firing practice was conducted for 09 cadets on 26th April 2018, taking part in Shooting Championship camp

    Cadets Appeared for B & C certificate Exam:


    • Total of 35 cadets appeared for B – Certificate Exam on 10th& 11th Feb 2018 conducted by 6 Kar Air SQn NCC at Aloyisuis College.

    • Total of 26 cadets appeared for C – Certificate Exam on 24th& 25th Feb 2018 conducted by Mangalore Group at Aloysius College.

    Alva’s NCC Annual Day Celebration 2018:


    NCC Annual day was celebrated on 10th April 2018. The program was graced by Maj Gen M V Bhat (Retd.), President of the program was Mr. Vivek Alva, Managing Trustee, AEF, Moodubidri. The invites for the program were Col Reggi Philipose, CO, 18 Kar Bn NCC, Wg Cdr. P C Pant, CO, 6 Kar Air Sqn NCC, Cdr. Vipul Gupta, CO, 5 Kar Naval NCC, Dr. Peter Fernandies, Principal, AIET & Dr. Kurian, Principal, Alva’s Degree College.The program commenced at 1000 hrs with crisp Guard of Honor (all three wings total 12+1) to Chief Guest Maj Gen M V Bhat, followed by a beautiful Silent drill by Airwing Cadets (36+1) for 12 min, the drill was breathtaking. Later cadets expressed their camp experiences in front of guests & invite by showcasing posters of their camps .In formal program, Chief Guest was felicitated by citation & shawl followed by a speech by Guest Maj Gen M V Bhat, in his speech he mentioned about the time management to the cadets & to lead the disciplined life. Col  Sequera addressing to cadets, he had appreciated the efforts of cadets showcased by organizing the event & performing the silent drill. Mr. Vivek Alva also addressed to the cadets and asked to do more good work in coming days & to achieve great heights. To motivate the cadets & to inculcate the true spirit of discipline and punctuality, Best Cadets were identified by conducting tests & other methods, best cadet trophies were given to all the 3 wing cadets .The cadets who have extremely well and attained the great position in NCC were felicitated by memento for their hard work.
