“SRISHTI – A Journey towards Building Greener World” is a nature and environmental club of Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology which offers wide spectrum of environmental and nature activities and a platform to enhance, exhibit the relationship with Mother Nature.

Club conducts various learning and adventurous activities for students of Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology(AIET) which attempts for overall development of students. The main aim of the club is to emphasize in creating the awareness on environmental issues and its impact to AIET students.

Club conducts various learning and adventurous activities for students of Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology(AIET) which attempts for overall development of students. The main aim of the club is to emphasize in creating the awareness on environmental issues and its impact to AIET students.


Experts like Dr. T.V Ramachandra, Dr. Harish Bhat, Prof. N.A. Madhyastha were invited to give guest lectures on environmental issues and advised students about their role and responsibilities in conserving the nature. Activist Niren Jain and Dr. Krishna Mohan Prabhu was also invited to address the club members.

A well known snake enthusiast Snake Shyam and Ravindranath Aithal visited the campus and addressed regarding snakes, conservation and its habitual lifecycle. They also gave precautionary measures to be taken during the snake bites

Other than Keynote talks by the expertise the club also conducted various activities like Bonsai Exhibition, Workshops on Amphibians-Frog and Bonsai, Nature Quiz, Nature Photography.

The club members also visited Sammilan’s Butterfly Park and complete organic farm of Dr. L.C. Soans

 
 

Trekking is the most interesting part of the club. On 8th February 2014, 100 students visited Kudlu Theertha. On 21st February 2015, 120 students visited Ballalarayana Durga Fort. On 21st February 2016, 55 students visited Kurinjal Peak.
