It's a day that everyone looks forward to in all colleges. Even more so at Alva's.

What started off as a normal traditional day three years ago with everyone turning out in 'traditional clothes' has now evolved into something totally exciting.

In the beginning, as usual, each college under the Alva's Education Foundation observed it seperately. But now it encompasses all its colleges under one unifying banner. Teams consist of a mixture of students from different colleges. This makes students to interact and get to know each other. Each team represents a different region of India and unbelievably, there is also an international team.

  • Coastal Karnataka
  • Rest of Karnataka
  • Rest of India
  • North East
  • South India
  • Kerala
  • International

The teams showcase the culture, dress and dance forms of their region. Food stalls are set up with delicacies. Apart from the myriad dosas, parothas, bhel puris, one can get dhokla, pefda, going onto chicken biriyani in mouth watering varieties, to the childishly enjoyable ice gola stick.

This year there was an astounding turnout of 7,000 students, all busy enjoying the skits, songs, dances and not to forget taking the never ending 'selfies'. Have a look at the fun.
