Business English Communication classes were conducted for MBA and Engineering students from 1st February 2017. There was a total of 182 students registered for the Business English Communication program. Mainly focusing on enabling students to communicate effectively and appropriately and use English effectively in the business world.
Report On English Proficiency Classes By BACCE Foundation 2016-17
INTRODUCTION
Language lab is essential to improve the linguistic and phonetic skills of the students. Students gain skills through audio and visual systems.
OBJECTIVE
The importance of the English language cannot be mitigated even if so desired. It is almost necessary that a learner has a good command over the language to allow him overall success in life. The enhancement of the English lab among students lies with the institution along with the efficient teachers an institute can make arrangements to set up a good digital English language lab for the students.
IMPORTANCE OF ENGLISH IN THE TECHNICAL FIELD
English language labs are designed to provide the students with strong platforms for the practical training in the language. The Basics aim of the language lab is to improve speaking, listening & reading skills of the students.
The language proficiency course was conducted by Bhakthivedantha Academy for Cultural and Character Education (BACCE) from 04-08-2016 to 16-05-2017 as per the timetable. The important topics covered include Verbal syllabus, verb agreement, tenses, articles, vocabulary builder, writing skills to develop communication, writing and presentation skills. The classes were attended by 495 students of 1st year B.E. regularly.

Mainly focusing on enabling students to communicate effectively and appropriately and use English effectively in the business world. For students in the corporate world, the English language plays major importance. To communicate globally in an effective way students need to be well versed in the English language.

This report intends to brief about the language lab which is an initiative taken by the institute to improve learning, listening, reading and presenting skills, wherein 40 students per batch are accommodated with an A/V facility with language software and interactive programs.

English language labs are designed to provide the students with strong platforms for practical training in the language. The concepts are discussed and demonstrated by the teacher before the students proceed to practice them individually in the language lab. The basic aim of the language lab is to improve the speaking, listening & reading skills of the students.
PRECEDING OF THE PROGRAM
The institute has taken the initiative to improve the speaking, listening & reading, presenting skills of the students using SoftX software in which 2 levels are available, wherein 40 students are accommodated with an A/V facility with language software and interactive programs at a time.
The concepts are discussed and demonstrated by the trainer before the students proceed to practice them individually in the language lab.
CONCLUSION
This program helped the students to improve their language skills like pronunciation, reading skills.
