Dr. Vinayak hegde was invited as a resource person and he started the session starting from the basic concept of agrochemicals and effective use of pesticide in plantation crops. The main objective of this talk is to know about the role of agrochemicals to increase the yield of crops and efficient and safety use of pesticide in plantation crops in India. At the end of the talk students come to know the importance of precise application of various agrochemicals are being used by the farmers in India. They also come to know the impact of indiscriminate application of some of the pesticides to the plantation crops and the safety precautions to be taken by the farmers while applying them to the crop.
