The ‘Rovers and Rangers’ is youth wing of Bharath Scouts and Guides wherein, Rovers fall under scouts (Men) section and Rangers fall under Guides (Women) section. Bharath Scouts and Guides movement is focused on developing responsible citizens through a combination of personal growth, skill enhancement, and character building. The rovers and rangers wing especially aims to foster a sense of social responsibility and community service, encouraging active citizenship among its members.
Key objectives include promoting personal development by encouraging leadership qualities, self reliance, and confidence building. Character building is emphasized through the instillation of strong moral and ethical values, honesty, integrity, and respect for others. Skill enhancement focuses on developing practical and life skills, including outdoor skills such as camping and hiking, first aid, communication, and teamwork.
