ISTE Student Chapter organized a technical talk on 25th March 2019 for the students of Mechanical Engineering. Mr. G. S. NanjundaSwamy Chief Manager (HT and HC), Aircraft Division, HAL Bangalore. He delivered the technical talk on “Aircraft materials and Properties”. In his talk, Mr. G. S. NanjundaSwamy briefly discussed on basic knowledge and understanding of the uses, strengths, limitations, and other characteristics of structural metals is vital to properly construct and maintain any equipment, especially airframes.
ISTE Student Chapter organized a technical talk on 29th March 2019 for the students of Information Science and Engineering. Mrs. Harini Shah Team Lead, Accenture Bangalore. She delivered a technical talk on “Design Thinking-A New Approach to Software Design”. In this session, first She spoke about Design Thinking is a design methodology that provides a solution-based approach to solving problems. It’s extremely useful in tackling complex problems that are ill-defined or unknown, by understanding the human needs involved, by re-framing the problem in human-centric ways, by creating many ideas in brainstorming sessions, and by adopting a hands-on approach in prototyping and testing. Understanding these five stages of Design Thinking will empower anyone to apply the Design Thinking methods in order to solve complex problems that occur around us.
